Saturation is a puzzle adventure prototype, where you explore the world by glimpsing it in a different colour - not all is what it seems.

Saturation was made for the Shape Jam, which meant it was limited to two shapes. The two shapes I chose were triangle and square. Since I was short for time, this is a very early prototype for an idea that came to me, which I hope to expand on later this year.

The Game:

The 'A' and 'D' keys move the player character left and right.

The mouse has two purposes - Move it around the game window to view small parts of the world differently.

Click to fire bullets.

Use the space key for jumping.

Use the 'W' key to climb ladders, note that you cannot use space to jump off of ladders, you must use the 'W' key again.

Use the 'S' key to climb back down the ladder.

Ladders are a series of upward pointing arrows. Only visible through the cursor window.

Aim to kill all the enemies - a tougher task than it seems. Like I said above, I will be expanding on this idea later this year, so stay tuned, and I hope you enjoy what I've produced just now.

Also, this is the first time I've added audio to a game, so I'd really love to hear feedback on if you think it fits with the game or not.

This year, I'm trying to produce alot of small games, so if you want to check out a minigame that I released the other day, Hexel Spinner is on my profile page here.

Thanks for playing :D

I really like the mechanic of your cursor revealing parts of the world, I think that's a really clever. I had a little bit of trouble with enemies staying at the top of ladders making it hard to move forward, but I think overall you've got a neat little game here and the atmospheric music suits it well.
